Menolly Fishlock

Senior Audiologist

Hi I’m Mel. I go by Mel, as Menolly can be a bit of a tongue twister for some people. I have been an audiologist with Can:Do Hearing since 2015, and before audiology I was a registered nurse, mostly at Flinders Medical Centre. The contrast between these occupations has made me relish my role as an audiologist.

Working with our adult clients for Can:Do Hearing, my involvement in assessments, aural rehabilitation, and hearing aid fittings has shown me the best side of being an audiologist. I get to know what clients want from their life and from me as their audiologist, as well as what they value in their communications with the world. This allows me to work with clients to get to a point where they understand their hearing and have the confidence to manage their hearing loss. I love having a chat and discovering the many ways that people live their very interesting lives, and I really enjoy the regular yearly hearing check and hearing aid tune-ups to see how people’s lives are going.

Masters of Audiology
Bachelor of Nursing
