A special announcement from Judy Curran, Group Chief Executive
You may be aware that earlier this year I announced that I would be retiring from my position as Group Chief Executive with the Can:Do Group at the end of the year.
Following this announcement, our Board undertook an extensive recruitment process to find a successor capable of stewarding our 143 year legacy of specialist sensory services and building on this, in this time of vigorous change, to ensure the future of exceptional services to Deaf, blind and sensory impaired South Australians.
I am delighted to announce that Heidi Limareff, current Deputy Chief Executive, has accepted the appointment as incoming Group Chief Executive, officially stepping into the role on 23 December 2017.
After emigrating to Adelaide from the United States 18 years ago, Heidi, a highly qualified audiologist, joined the Group 12 years ago to develop a new audiology business, now known as Can:Do Hearing. Following on from this, Heidi has continued to progress through the organisation, demonstrating outstanding leadership of our audiology, adult and children’s services and businesses in that time.
Her compelling passion for empowering people with sensory impairment will doubtless be at the heart of her leadership, and I hope you will welcome her to the role.
